El Prom Dress [20 Feb 2005|05:04pm] [ mood | excited ] [ music | The Phantom of the Opera - Notes/Primadonna ] So here's the skinny... Today I went prom dress shopping: It was scary at first. First store we went into was scary. Lady came up and started helping us, first I had to take off my jacket so she could see my figure... that's alright, found a few dresses to try on. Went into the room...put on the dress. Easy peasy. I come out, lady says, "put on some heel shoes" that the store had. Alright put on the shoes... lady says"take off your socks" socks off ookay next lady said "the dress has the supporty stuff, take off your bra" ...*shuffled into room and took it off* >.>;;; thinking to myself how that went against everything i was taught. so tried on a few more dresses at that store then set off... another store you know had some nice dresses but not that one that screams prom dress this one store we went into was SCARY this lady WAS PUSHY. she was a hawk. by the end i was just thinking "don't make eye contact! don't make eye contact!" pushing her prices $89, very few left, only one in your size, no other stores have it AHHHHHH so while walking out of the store calmly, screaming and running in my head we walked into the next store, and saw some of those 'no other stores have it' dresses... psssh But you know what, I had already tried on that one dress long ago... I'll describe what kind of dress i was thinking versus what i got now... I was thinking green or a deep red? I got black I was thinking something with a high back... So of course I got a dress with a very low back... I was thinking a two thick strap dress It's like a halter top I was planning on a slightly fanned out dress (not poofy but not slim form fitting) So my dress is of course form fitting that after my hips goes loose and ruffled Then I was figuring light details few crazy designs... little beads little beads, little beads are all i see... It's perfect and exactly what I wanted ^_^ ...doesn't seem like it does it? But it's what I wanted because it's perfect! Right now though I only have the scarf because the actual dress is being altered my one of a kind-ish dress ^_^ (the lady says it's one of a kind, While I don't think it's exactly one of a kind) And yes, Primadonna from The Phantom of the Opera was playing in my head for some of the dresses... actually funny story this one dress i tried on was this blue deily, with this string thing strapy deal... I couldn't figure it out here's me with the dress zipped up but the upper part falling down because the damn thing didn't come with instructions(which it dearly needed) Then some other of the A line form dresses (poofy but not) i was on the ground peering up into them saying "helllloooo? is anybody in there?" in true me fashion! So yes, My dress is much prettier(and most likely much more expensive >.>) then yours! .:6 hearts : Give me a heart?:.
